This coffee was produced by the relatively young Kennisa cooperative. Most of the coffee farmer families' homes and associated land are located at an altitude of 2000-2100m, which supports the characteristic floral flavor profile with stone fruit and a rounded citrus acidity. The farmers in the cooperative each own several hundred coffee plants, which equates to about one hectare of land. The cherries are depulped the same day they are picked, washed, and dried slowly in the sun on raised beds.
